A man is facing a disorderly conduct ticket after being accused of tripping a nine-year-old football player during a youth game in Mount Pleasant.
Cellphone video showed the 41-year-old parent of a Milwaukee Colts player going onto the field and tripping the child. Police say the nine-year-old was not injured and determined the incident did not meet the requirements for child abuse because there was no bodily harm. The man later told officers he “got impulsive” and had apologized to the team and coach. League officials have banned him from attending future games.
