The Badger State is getting a sizable chunk from a settlement with Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram.
Several states, including Wisconsin, sued the tech giant alleging it designed its social media platforms to engage children and get them addicted. Wisconsin will be paid out at least 219-million dollars of the larger 17-billion-dollar settlement with Meta. Attorney General Josh Kaul says the state plans to use the funds for youth mental health programming efforts.
