No injuries were reported after an overnight garage fire in Eau Claire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.
The Eau Claire Fire Department responded to the 500 block of Lee Street shortly after 1:30 Friday morning.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a detached garage in an alley. Crews had to cut open the garage door to reach the fire and were able to bring it under control while protecting nearby property.
The department estimates damage to the garage and its contents at about $100,000.
No firefighters or civilians were injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Eau Claire Fire Department.
