A man convicted in a 2024 fatal shooting in Trempealeau County is learning his fate.
Investigators say that Whitehall resident Todd Gieck shot the victim — Ettrick resident Kyle Dahl — along Highway 53 in the Town of Gale. Dahl was found in his crashed vehicle and later died at a local hospital. Gieck was found guilty earlier this year on charges including reckless homicide and has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.
