The City of Altoona invites the community to join us for a special edition of Rocking on the River on Wednesday, June 10, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the OakLeaf Surgical Hospital Amphitheatre at River Prairie Park.
This week’s event will benefit the Jayna Kelley Memorial Foundation, with donations collected throughout the evening supporting the foundation’s mission of giving back to youth and community causes.
June 10 holds special significance, as it would have been Jayna Kelley’s 17th birthday. Jayna was one of three Girl Scouts tragically killed in November 2018 while participating in a roadside cleanup project near Lake Hallie. In her memory, the Jayna Kelley Memorial Foundation was established to continue her spirit of kindness, generosity, and community service.
Today, the foundation provides approximately $100,000 annually to support youth-focused initiatives, scholarships, and charitable causes that reflect Jayna’s passion for helping others. Community members are encouraged to attend the concert, celebrate Jayna’s birthday, and support the important work of the Jayna Kelley Memorial Foundation.
The event is proudly sponsored by WESTconsin Credit Union. Food trucks will be available throughout the evening, offering a variety of food and refreshments for attendees to enjoy.
