Longtime law enforcement professional Mark Hollister has officially announced his campaign for Chippewa County Sheriff. With a career dedicated to public safety and community service, Hollister aims to bring experienced leadership and a collaborative vision to the Sheriff’s Office.

A Career Built on Service Mark Hollister currently serves as a Deputy with the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department.  His experience spans various facets of local law enforcement, providing him with a deep understanding of the current needs of Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office

Vision for the Future Hollister’s campaign is rooted in the belief that effective law enforcement requires strong partnerships between the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens it serves. His platform focuses on:

  • Community Engagement: Strengthening ties between the department and the citizens of Chippewa County to foster trust and transparency.
  • Proactive Public Safety: Implementing modern law enforcement strategies to address emerging challenges while maintaining a focus on core safety initiatives.

About Mark Hollister:  Hollister is a 15+ year veteran member of the Chippewa County law enforcement community. “I have worked alongside deputies, jailers, dispatchers, and support staff who have served the people of Chippewa County and I am proud to say I know this department from the ground up.” His career has been marked by a steadfast commitment to the safety and well-being of the region’s residents. 

“Chippewa County is more than just a place to work; it’s my home,” said Hollister. “I am running for Sheriff because I believe my experience, combined with a fresh focus on community-oriented policing, will ensure our county remains a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.”  

On top of his career, Mark is a proud family man, father and community member. He can be found his time outside of work with his family, camping, and volunteering with many organizations, including 3 years of working with Joshua’s Camp.
