News | May 8, 2025 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy
Fire Danger Stretches the Dairyland

All of Wisconsin has some level of fire danger.

According to the Department of Natural Resources fire risk map, northern and central Wisconsin are in very high fire danger.  That means wildfires can start quickly, spread rapidly, and are more difficult to control.  Burn restrictions are in place for most of northern Wisconsin.  Western, east-central, and most of southern Wisconsin are in moderate fire danger, with the southeastern corner of the state at low fire risk.
