Looking Local: UW-Stout spring commencement scheduled May 10
Students receive their diplomas during Fall 2023 graduation.

ABOVE PHOTO: Nearly 1,180 students will graduate from UW-Stout on Saturday, May 10.

Spring commencement will be held for 1,174 graduates on Saturday, May 10, at University of Wisconsin-Stout.

A total of 952 undergraduate and 222 Graduate Studies students will receive degrees.

Three ceremonies will be held at Johnson Fieldhouse:

The ceremonies can also be seen via livestream on the UW-Stout commencement website and at the Memorial Student Center.

Provost Glendalí Rodríguez will host the ceremonies. Chancellor Katherine Frank will provide remarks to the graduates and confer degrees.

Three alumni will also be guest speakers. CAHS undergraduates will be addressed by Northwood Technical College President John WillEd.D. in career and technical education, 2017. CSTEMM undergraduates will be addressed by Kraus-Anderson Senior Vice President Rich Jacobson, B.S. in industrial technology, 1998. Graduate Studies will be addressed by Wakanda Elementary School Principal Diane SchofieldM.S. in education, 2007.

The ceremonies will include music by the UW-Stout Symphonic Band, directed by Erika Svanoe; the Jazz Orchestra, directed by Jim Anderson; and the Chamber Choir, Symphonic Singers and Devil Tones Acapella, directed by Jerry Hui.

Diplomas will be mailed to students four to six weeks after final grades are issued.
