Calling All Bird Lovers

News | April 26, 2025 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy
Calling All Bird Lovers

Hundreds of millions of birds will be migrating north this weekend.

The Birdcast NexRad radar forecast shows more than 200-million birds will migrate north on Saturday, with the largest number flying up the Missouri and Mississippi River valleys.  The western edge of Wisconsin is in the Saturday flight path.  Sunday is much bigger for Wisconsin bird watchers.   Another 300-million birds will migrate north, with the heaviest flight path going through Illinois, into Wisconsin.  The birds will fly at night starting about three hours after sunset and stop to sleep and eat the next morning, wherever they are along the route, including backyards.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE.
