Severe Weather Awareness Week for Wisconsin is planned for April 7-11, 2025!
This week is designed to promote emergency preparedness and inform residents of some of the various weather-related events that are likely to occur in the coming months. These hazards include flooding, severe thunderstorms, tornado and straight-line wind events, and heat, along with a reminder of how to be made aware of when a severe weather event is possible or occurring.
“Being prepared for the weather events that may impact our community is everyone’s responsibility and our team has developed a tool to identify some of those hazards.,” said Tyler Esh, Eau Claire County’s Emergency Manager. “Our goal with Severe Weather Awareness Week is to give tips on how to be ready for these events.”
