New Report Highlights Need for Educators

New Report Highlights Need for Educators

A new report shows a need for more educators in Wisconsin.

A new report from the Department of Public Instruction says 55-percent of first-time teachers stayed in the state for seven years, and half of those educators stay at the same school in that time. Those numbers are even lower in the special education sector. State Superintendent Jill Underly is asking for more financial investments into the education workforce to keep teachers in Wisconsin.
