David Young, 34 years of age, from Eau Claire has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with two children in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On Saturday March 1st, Troopers in the Eau Claire Post, stopped a vehicle for speeding on Hwy 312 at Jeffers Ave. Upon initial approach of the vehicle, Troopers noticed signs of impairment from the driver. Troopers administered a field sobriety test with Mr. Young and subsequently arrested Mr. Young for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. Mr. Young was also charged with possession of Methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver’s license status.
Troopers also reported two juveniles ages 1 and 4, along with their mother were passengers in the vehicle. The occupants were transported to a safe haven and Mr. Young was booked into Eau Claire County Jail.
