Cold Turkey Ahead: Temps Set to Drop Ahead of Thanksgiving

It’s going to be a cold Thanksgiving week in western Wisconsin.

Forecasters say Eau Claire will see some snow today, but the bulk of it will stick to the north. High temperatures will then drop into the 20s for most of the week. Forecasters say overnight lows will be in the teens. Thanksgiving Day will be cloudy and cold, with a high of just 28 degrees in Eau Claire. We are waiting to see what a mild fall will mean for Wisconsin deer hunters. The state’s gun deer season began on Saturday, and so far, the DNR says there haven’t been any reports of major problems. The season runs nine days, which means it wraps-up on Sunday. The DNR is planning a media briefing for tomorrow to give an update on how many hunters began the season, and how many deer they’ve bagged so far.
