Water Safety Reminder Ahead of Labor Day Weekend

The Labor Day weekend is generally considered the last boating weekend of the season in Wisconsin.

There have been 13 boating-related deaths so far this year statewide. The Department of Natural Resources says nine were not wearing life jackets. Wisconsin state law does require a life jacket for each person in a boat as officials urge water safety ahead of Labor Day weekend.
