NW Wisconsin Regional Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony Planned

In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15th falls, as National Police Week. Established by a Joint Resolution in Congress in 1962, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of their communities.

On Wednesday, May 15 th , at 10:00am, area law enforcement agencies will host the Northwest Wisconsin Regional Law Enforcement Memorial Service at Florian Gardens, located at 2340 Lorch Ave, in the City of
Eau Claire. This memorial service is open to the public and will pay tribute and give honor to those law enforcement officers in the Northwest Region of Wisconsin who have lost their lives while serving and protecting their communities.
