An unlicensed daycare owner from Wisconsin is under arrest and charged with child abuse.
Prosecutors say a one-year-old left in Meagan Valley’s care was taken to the hospital with severe burns in the Town of Caledonia. His parents say Valley called them less than two hours after they dropped him off to say he was having an allergic reaction and had hives. After they picked him up, his parents say their child was clearly burned and didn’t have hives. The child had burns on nearly a quarter of his body, including to the chest and face.
Valley will be back in court in June for an initial appearance. She is currently out on a cash bond.
