Monica Lopez, 28 years of age, from Chicago has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 2nd offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On Thursday, April 18, 2024, at approximately 11:21 PM a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle on I-94 westbound by Brockway Road near Sheppard for a speed violation. The Trooper observed signs of impairment and a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety test, showed the driver, Monica Lopez from Chicago, IL, was operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance 2nd offense with a minor passenger. Ms. Lopez was arrested and transported to the Black River Memorial Hospital for an evidentiary test of her blood. The child, age 8, was released to a responsible adult.
