Hard to “Contain” Excitement: New Park Coming to Cinder City

Container Park in Altoona is coming together.

City leaders last night held an open house to show locals how they plan to turn old shipping containers into stores and restaurants in what’s currently an empty lot. Assistant City Administrator Roy Atkinson said the idea is unique and exciting.
