Governor’s Pen Focuses on Public Safety

Wisconsin has more than two dozen new public safety laws. Governor Toy Evers yesterday signed a raft of legislation into law. Most of them deal with crime or public safety.

Three are specifically targeted to improve the protection of judges, including a new law that bans protesting outside of a judge’s house. Those laws for judges come after a former judge was murdered in his Juneau County home by someone who he sentenced back in 2022.
