The money comes after Prevea Health and HSHS announced they’ll be shutting down hospitals and clinics in the region. The money can be used for urgent care and OBGYN services, along with any other service needs in the area. Governor Tony Evers signed the bill with a partial veto that broadens how the money can be used — previously, it was just for emergency services in hospitals.
