Election Day in Wisconsin

Election Day in Wisconsin

It is Election Day in Wisconsin.

Today is the primary for the spring election. That means voters will narrow down the list of candidates for local offices like school board, the county board, or the village board. You can check who is on your ballot by going to the state’s election website WITH AN EASY CLICK HERE.

Polls are open from 7 a.m til 8 p.m.

When it comes to election season, the long court fight over Wisconsin’s new political maps is over, for now.

Governor Tony Evers yesterday signed the new maps that he drew. The maps give Democrats an advantage, and could flip the legislature to Democrat-controlled after more than a decade of being controlled by the Republicans. The governor said the new maps are a victory for the people. Republicans approved the governor’s maps as a least-worst alternative to what may have come from the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The maps will be used in this year’s elections.
