The All-City Spelling Bee took place yesterday at M.A.T.C.’s Mitby Theater.
The Wisconsin State Journal sponsored the event for the 75th consecutive year. Thirty-eight students from third to eighth grade from Madison competed in the competition. Eighth grader Vincent Bautista from St. Maria Goretti Catholic School won the event. He and the second and third place finishers will be going to the state wide competition on March 16th.
