Pedestrian Crash Remains Under Investigation

On January 31, 2024, at 5:45 pm, the St. Croix County Emergency Communication Center received a call reporting a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on County Road N near Baker Road, in the Town of Hudson.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 2009 Dodge Ram pickup in the roadway with front-end damage. There was a pedestrian lying in the roadway that had been struck, and lifesaving measures were being performed. The pedestrian was identified as Jason J. Asp, age 39, from Hudson, WI. From evidence at the scene, it appears Mr. Asp was walking near the center of the road on County Road N when he was struck.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Krysta E. Glodowski, age 19, from Hudson WI. She was traveling westbound on County Road N at the time of the crash, and was wearing her seatbelt. Mr. Asp was transported by ambulance to Regions Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from Hudson Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Hudson Fire Department, Roberts Fire Department and Lakeview EMS.

The crash remains under investigation by the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office.
