Two bills releasing pay raises to Universities of Wisconsin employees have been passed, after six months of debate.
More than 35-thousand employees will get four-percent raises now that Governor Tony Evers has signed the bills after disputes about diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. During the back and forth, UW regents rejected a deal that would have released the 32-million-dollars withheld by the state legislature. Governor Tony Evers sued UW, saying the blockages were already approved — that suit is ongoing.
