On January 4th, 2024, the Eau Claire Police Department was made aware of inappropriate contacts between a cosmetic service provider and a client. Additional victims were identified through a continued investigation. The victims reported that Christopher J. Devlin (DOB: 09-08-1983) sexually assaulted them, and/or took inappropriate photos of sensitive areas, while completing cosmetic procedures at his business; Renew Aesthetics 1903 Keith Street, Suite 8. The reported incidents occurred between July, 2023 and December, 2023.
On January 17th, 2024, members of the Eau Claire Police Department, assisted by other agencies to include a K-9 trained in digital device detection, completed search warrants at the Renew Aesthetics and Devlin’s residence. Devlin was arrested and was transported to the Eau Claire County Jail. He declined to speak with investigators.
As a result of the investigation, the Eau Claire County District Attorney’s Office charged Devlin with:
-2nd Degree Sexual Assault; 940.225(2)(a)
-4th Degree Sexual Assault; 940.225(3m) — 3 Counts
-Capture of Representations Depicting Nudity; 942.09(2)(am)(1) — 2 counts
