The Milwaukee police officer wounded in last week’s domestic violence standoff has left the hospital.
Officer Dan Morrell wheeled himself out of the hospital in a wheelchair yesterday. He was shot in the leg in a shootout with a suspect last Tuesday. Doctors said he may lose some feeling in his leg because the bullet broke his femur and nicked an artery. Morrell’s wife yesterday said he has a long road to recovery ahead of him, and thanked everyone for their support.
