Ruling Expected Soon In Peters’ Case

The long wait for the first decision in the murder of 10-year-old Lily Peters is due this month. The judge in the case has said he will decide by the end of January if the teenage suspect in Peters’ murder will be tried in adult court. Peters was killed back in April of 2022, and the trial for murder has been on hold because of delays in the court system in Chippewa Falls. If the trial is moved to adult court, the suspect who was 14-years-old at the time, would face a much stiffer sentence.
