Pursuit Leads to Drug Arrest & Wanted Suspect

On January 4, 2024, at approximately 8:36 AM, a Lake Hallie officer observed a blue Ram 4×4 with a defective driver’s side brake light on 118th Street and Hallie Road in the Village of Lake Hallie. The officer recognized the vehicle as being associated with Christopher B. Anderson (36 years old from Lake Hallie), who had an active DOC warrant. The officer activated his emergency lights and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle drove into the ditch and then drove back onto the road and accelerated at a high rate of speed.

A pursuit ensued that started at 118th Street in Lake Hallie and ended on County Hwy F in Chippewa County. Throughout the pursuit, the vehicle attempted to elude officers by traveling at a high rate of speed, weaving around other vehicles, and driving on the shoulder of the road. The vehicle came to a stop and both occupants, the driver, Nakeya Hall (21 years old from Chippewa Falls) and Anderson were taken into custody with the assistance of the Wisconsin State Patrol. A vehicle search was conducted and a glass smoking device and a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance (believed to be methamphetamine) was located on the driver’s side and in Hall’s jacket.

Hall was placed under arrest for Fleeing /Eluding, Possession of methamphetamine and Possession of drug paraphernalia. Anderson was arrested for Possession of methamphetamine and Possession of drug paraphernalia as well as the outstanding DOC warrant. Both individuals were transported to the Chippewa County Jail for processing.
