Friday Feel Good: A Slam Dunk for Community

Friday Feel Good: A Slam Dunk for Community

On the other side of the holidays, maybe you received a clothing item that you are wearing or a new pair of shoes.

For this weeks Friday Feel Good we hear about a special pair of Nikes that are helping people get on their feet!

A pair of Nike Air Jordan Shoes worth over $10,000 was donated to the Portland Rescue Mission in Oregon.  The money made from the shoes will be used to fund more recovery programs.  Erin Holcomb of the Portland Rescue Mission talks about the amazing find.

The shoes were made when Spike Lee hired famed Nike shoe designer Tinker Hatfield to create a custom set of Jordan 3s for a small group of people in honor of his 2019 Oscar nomination and now, they are a slam dunk for a community trying to improve the lives of others.

YOU CAN HEAR THE FRIDAY FEEL GOOD EVERY FRIDAY AT 2:30pm ON GREATEST HITS 98.1
