A Mexican citizen is sentenced to five years in U-S federal prison for trafficking meth in Madison.
Emmanuel Herrera Sanchez was caught in 2022 selling ten kilograms of meth – worth 49-thousand dollars – to a confidential informant. He was found to be part of a larger organized drug operation. The Chief U-S District Judge sentencing Herrera Sanchez says the drug crime is particularly serious due to the amount of meth involved.
