A Dane County judge has dismissed the claim from a liberal law firm that accused Wisconsin’s Assembly Speaker of breaking the state’s open meetings laws with his impeachment panel.
The judge yesterday said American Oversight filed its lawsuit too quickly, and should have let Dane County’s DA handle the case first. American Oversight sued Assembly Speaker Robin Vos over his decision to ask former Supreme Court justices in the state about a possible impeachment for newly elected Justice Protasiewicz.
The justices ultimately advised Vos against an impeachment push. American Oversight is still asking for all of the documents and emails that were involved in those discussions.
