Five Wisconsin companies will get grant money to help expand processing, marketing, and distribution.
The Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin grants are 50-thousand dollars maximum per company, and come from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. Fitchburg’s Eplegaarden Orchard was given money to expand offerings using their fresh fruit, and Lov-It Foods in Green Bay got money to help sell newly-branded artisanal cheeses. Three other companies in Mequon, Manitowoc, and Mayville were also awarded money.
