Money approved by the State of Wisconsin for two Native Nations has not been released yet.
The Joint Committee on Finance voted to withhold funds from the Tribes, which are approved in the 2023-25 Wisconsin budget. Governor Tony Evers is directing a formal request to the Joint Committee to release two-million of the eleven-million dollars to the Bad River and Lac du Flambeau Native Nations.
