A new law is being proposed that would ban anyone convicted of violent offenses from buying or possessing guns in Wisconsin.
The bill’s supported by State Senator Kelda Roys and State Representative Lisa Subeck, both of Madison. The idea is supported by Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul. The bill reorganizes disorderly conduct and the definition of domestic abuse, so that someone convicted of disorderly conduct as a result of domestic abuse would be banned from buying or having guns.
