UW Green Bay Looks to Drop Some Degree Programs News | November 9, 2023 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy Some degree programs at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay could soon be going away. The university yesterday said it is looking to drop a handful of majors and minors as part of a cost-cutting plan. The school says majors in economics, environmental policy and planning, and theater and dance could be cut. UW-Green Bay is also considering eliminating minors in international environmental studies, geography, and physics. Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Kate Burns says eliminating the majors or minors doesn’t necessarily mean they will be laying off faculty members.
