Wisconsin’s governor says he is looking to Democrats in the State Senate to get the Brewer ballpark funding plan through the Capitol.
Governor Evers yesterday said he’s convinced several Senate Democrats to vote for the plan. Most Democrats at the Capitol do not like the proposal because it spends 500-million dollars in public money on the Brewers’ ballpark, and because it taps Milwaukee and Milwaukee County for some of that money. The governor says he’s got some votes for the plan as it is now. He says any changes to the proposals may kill that Democratic support.
