Augusta Welcomes New K9 Officer News | October 12, 2023 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy Police in Augusta are looking to raise money to train their new police dog. The city’s police department yesterday introduced K9 Chase. He replaces the city’s old police dog Jake, who recently passed away. There will be a fundraiser next Saturday to help raise money to cover the costs of sending Chase and his handler to New Mexico to complete their training.
