We are due for an update on the push for new political maps in Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Fair Maps Coalition will hold a briefing in Madison later this morning. They are pushing the Wisconsin Supreme Court to strike down the state’s current political map, and draw new ones before next year’s election. The Fair Maps Coalition says the current map is gerrymandered to favor Republicans. Republican lawmakers say the map have passed through both state and federal court, and has been upheld. The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Friday fast-tracked a hearing into the maps.
