Back Behind the Wheel For WI Teens News | October 5, 2023 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy New drivers in Wisconsin are going to have to start taking the road test again. The state’s Department of Motor Vehicles yesterday said it is going to end the road test waiver program at the end of the year. Wisconsin stopped requiring a road test during the coronavirus outbreak back in 2020, and has just continued since. But as of January 1st, drivers under 18 who are looking to get their driver’s license will once again have to prove that they can drive a car. The DMV says the waiver program was successful, but no one is saying why they made the decision to end it.
