Study Seeks People with IBD News | October 4, 2023 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy UW-Madison is looking for people with irritable bowel disease to participate in a COVID-19 vaccination study. UW Health is making a study to see if people who take immunosuppressant drugs, like those with IBD, will be able to get the updated COVID vaccines. In a 2021 study, 97-percent of people with IBD had an immune response after taking two vaccine doses. By the end of the study, everyone with IBD had a reaction. UW-Madison is one of three locations nationally participating in the study.
