A 51-year-old man is dead after participating in the Ironman triathlon in Madison yesterday.
IRONMAN Wisconsin says the man “suffered a medical event” in Cross Plains during the bike portion of the race. An off-duty police officer and a race staff member gave the man immediate medical assistance. He was taken by EMS to a hospital, where he died.
