Protected Species Shot

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is looking for who shot two protected species in the Navarino Wildlife area.

The DNR says three trumpeter swans and a great blue heron were fatally shot this week. Killing a protected species can lead to nine months in jail, five-thousand dollars in fines, and a three-year ban from hunting.
