Jim Leonhard has a new job in the Big 10, at Illinois.
The University of Illinois yesterday said it’s hired Leonhard to be its senior football analyst. Leonhard had been a defensive coordinator with the Badgers, and was even interim head coach last season. He left Wisconsin after the school hired Luke Fickell. It’s not clear just what Leonhard will do as football analyst, but he’s expected to help the U of I focus on its defense. Wisconsin plays Illinois, in Champaign this fall.
