Janesville is seeing its least violent crime in the last ten years.
Since 2021 police say robberies are down 23 percent, aggravated assaults are down 24 percent, and forcable rapes are down 26 percent. There was also only one homicide in Janesville in 2022. The last time crime rates were this low was before 2013.
