Wis-DOT says a pavement buckle closed both lanes of eastbound I-94 yesterday. The interstate was closed for a few hours as crews repaired the broken pavement. High temperatures cause the road to buckle, then rip-open. The hole the buckles leave behind can do serious damage to cars.
