There will be more about sending more state money to local governments in Wisconsin this week.
The State Senate will take-up its shared revenue proposal tomorrow. The Republican-controlled Senate has a different plan than the Republican-controlled Assembly, most notably in how Milwaukee and Milwaukee County could raise their taxes. Assembly Speaker Robin Vos last week said he’s done negotiating on his plan. Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu said that’s unfortunate.
