On April 17, Mayo Clinic Health System will begin a construction project replacing the clinic entrance on the Luther Campus at 1400 Bellinger Street in Eau Claire.
From April 17 through May 1, patients and visitors to the clinic will be directed to enter through the adjacent Emergency Department entrance. For patients being dropped off, temporary signage will indicate a drop-off area along the boulevard in the parking lot between the Clinic and Emergency Department entrances. Beginning May 1, patients and visitors will enter through a temporary clinic entrance until the project is completed, which is estimated to happen in early October.
The parking ramp and hospital entrance on Whipple Street will not be impacted by the project.
“Once this project is completed, the new clinic entrance will allow for a safer and more efficient flow of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, as well as greater energy efficiency,” says Gordon Howie, chair of Facilities and Support Services for Mayo Clinic Health System in Northwest Wisconsin. “We look forward to providing an improved experience for our patients and visitors.”
