Paul Kennedy, a resident of Reedsburg, is the winner of the $1.5 million Megabucks jackpot from the Saturday, March 18, 2023, drawing. He claimed his prize at the Wisconsin Lottery offices in Madison on Wednesday, March 22nd.
“I like to play Megabucks regularly because it’s a Wisconsin game,” said Kennedy.
A career electrician, Kennedy’s jackpot-winning numbers were 11-30-34-35-36-39. He learned of his big win from the salesclerk at Prairie Cenex (1300 Prairie St., Prairie Du Sac), where he purchased his winning ticket. The clerk said to Kennedy, “Are you the one?”
Kennedy’s Megabucks jackpot win is the second of 2023. The first Megabucks jackpot win of the year made national news when a $15.1 million jackpot winning ticket was sold in Luck, Wisconsin, for the Wednesday, January 4th drawing.
