Republican lawmakers at the Wisconsin Capitol want to do more about PFAS pollution, but they also want a firm price tag for what it will cost.
State Senator Rob Cowles this week pressed Wisconsin’s DNR secretary for more specifics on the governor’s plan to spend 100 million-dollars on PFAS projects. Cowles says the 100 million is ‘doable’ in the state’s new budget, but he wants to know how much of that will go for testing, how much will go for treatment, and how much will go for other projects.
