An update from the Eau Claire Sheriff’s Department confirms the death of an inmate.
On Sunday, March 12th, a 29-year-old female was found unresponsive in the Eau Claire County Jail. The Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office has requested another area Sheriff’s Office and the Eau Claire County Medical Examiner conduct an independent investigation into this death. No name is being revealed at this time pending the ongoing investigation.
